Placements at 麻豆果冻传媒

Placements are your chance to step into the world of work, gain real experience, and build the skills and confidence you’ll need for your future career. They also help you make professional contacts and stand out to employers when you graduate.

At 麻豆果冻传媒, 100% of our undergraduate courses include work experience:

  • Professionally regulated degrees in teaching, social work, pharmacy and health subjects include placements as a required part of the course and take place throughout your studies.
  • As part of your Architecture course, you’ll be matched with practising architects who’ll mentor you through projects, regular meetings, or one-off sessions.
  • All other courses give you the option to take a year in industry, with many also offering shorter placement opportunities.
  • Whatever you study, we’ll encourage you to gain experience through placements, internships, volunteering, field trips, work shadowing, real-world projects, competitions, and more.

Placement years – how they work

A placement year usually lasts between 40–52 weeks, where you work as a paid employee for a company or organisation related to your degree.

You apply for placements just like a job — and yes, it can be competitive. But you won’t be on your own: our dedicated Placements and Internships Team will support you every step of the way, from exploring your career interests to preparing for interviews and helping you succeed once you’re in your role.

Preparing for your placement

We’ll make sure you feel confident and ready by offering:

  • Access to placements and internships through our Careers Connect hub
  • One-to-one advice on CVs, cover letters, applications, and interviews
  • Mock interviews and assessment centre practice
  • Workshops to boost your employability skills
  • Opportunities to meet employers through talks, careers fairs and networking events

Why placements matter

A placement is a powerful way to take your degree further. It can help you:

  • Stand out – employers want graduates with real-world experience
  • Explore career options – find out what type of job or sector suits you best
  • Gain practical skills – from industry-specific knowledge to teamwork, communication and time management
  • Build your network – make connections that could open doors after graduation
